Individual psychotherapy involves meeting one-on-one with a mental health professional to help you live the life you want to live. This process is facilitated through the development of a strong therapeutic relationship between you and your mental health professional. We strive to provide a safe and supportive space as we support your personal growth and development. Each of our providers has a unique approach to treatment that is informed by their education and clinical experience.
Children and adolescents sometimes need targeted therapeutic support in addition to the love and care parents, family, teachers and coaches provide. Psychotherapy for children and adolescents involves collaboration between the mental health provider and parents and/or caregivers. This approach allows us to surround the child with caring, supportive, and consistent relationships and environments as they grow and develop.
EMDR is a treatment approach often used to address the negative impacts of traumatic memory and experience. This approach is empirically validated and approved by both the American Psychological Association and American Psychiatric Association for the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. EMDR can also be integrated into treatment for concerns associated with, but not limited to, relational difficulties, depression and anxiety, burnout, and heightened stress.
Dr. Crain (EMDR-certified) and Tyler Oswald, LMHC (EMDR-trained) have completed extensive training in the use of EMDR for a variety of concerns, including past traumatic life events.

These assessments are often requested by medical providers to assist in making decisions about medication and other mental health related treatment options. Likewise, these evaluations are often critically important in determining why a child or adult may struggle in school and what types of supports can be most helpful in improving learning and performance.
Evaluations are used to diagnose difficulties such as:
